installation for the trade fair "Grüne Woche" interactively
familiarizes city dwellers with the agricultural production of crops
This 200sq.m interactive installation was the highlight
of the trade fair. The artistic duo traveled 15.000km through Germany
to make the convincing point that produce grows in farmers' fields
rather than on supermarket shelves.
Photo sequences tell tales from the world of agriculture,
projected onto the ground. They show fruits and farmers, livestock
and those who raise and feed it, modern harvest equipment and archaic
tools. Macro images show unusual ways to approach common produce
like potatoes, sugar and bread. The projectors are equipped with
sensors that translate the visitor's every movement into a new picture.
